Autumnal Equinox 108 Sun Salutations + Sound Bath

Welcome the Fall season with this 1 1/2 hour meditative practice of 108 Sun Salutations complete with Sound Bath. Why 108? In many respects, 108 is considered to be a sacred number. It can represent completeness and is reflected in the number of beads found on a mala (meditation prayer beads).

This powerful practice will be guided by Rachel Garceau and Sound Bath by Grady Cousins. The flow will be broken up in to 9 sets of 12 Sun Salutation each. Time will be built in to rest in between each set or when needed. Affirmations will help each individual move through the practice and transition into the new season. We will close with a few restorative postures and a lengthy relaxation. Open to students of all levels, modifications will be offered to help each student find the safest version of this practice for his/her own body.

Join us for this nature immersive, multi-sensory experience. Post yoga refreshments served. This event is held outdoors. Will be held rain or shine, in the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to a nearby location

Get outside! Nature heals, my friends. The focus of this Adult Camp series is to encourage people to slow down and take notice of all the beauty Mother Nature has to offer. This 2 day workshop is ideal for people who have the physical ability to do light hiking and participate in an all levels yoga class.

Itinerary=

DAY 1-

- Forest Bathing and Grounding Hike: Forest Bathing is a guided meditation walk through nature. It originated in Japan in the early 1980's, and has been proven to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, increase energy, and improve sleep. The goal is to slow down and become immersed in the natural environment by engaging all senses: smell, touch, taste, and sight. To further immerse in the experience, an element of grounding is incorporated by encouraging campers to walk barefoot for a portion (not all) of the guided meditation walk. Grounding is the process of connecting with the earth below (both literally and figuratively), and the very essence of Mother Nature in her true form. 10:00am-11:30am

LUNCH AT THE FARMHOUSE: Tips for Mindful Eating 12:00pm-1:00pm

- Goat Yoga: Goat yoga is yoga practiced amongst sweet Nigerian Dwarf goats. Every class is a new experience, as the goats tend to be the stars of the show. Goats are considered to be one of the best emotional support animals, and we promise you will leave this class feeling a little more light-hearted, calm, and joyful. 1:00pm-2:30pm

- Hike to Waterfall, yoga flow at the waterfall + Bamboo juice tasting 9:30am-11:30am

- Guided Meditation Walk and Dream Catcher Making. (On the Meditation walk we will gather items from nature to make our own dream catchers) 1:00pm-2:30pm

Come join us as we celebrate the Winter Solstice: the first day of Winter. The Winter Solstice marks the end of the shortest, darkest days and the beginning of new light, life, and opportunities. We will move through a meditative 108 Sun Salutations in a candlelit room, with a beautiful sound bath to enhance the experience.

The first day of Winter brings feelings of reflection and restoration. Come move the body and calm the mind. What a great time of year to incorporate intention and meditation in our lives. The sense of community and the supportive energy of witnessing our breath becoming one with our movement and with each other is an experience like no other . Modifications offered, all levels welcome. We will enjoy refreshments and fellowship after. Don't miss what's fast becoming Serenbe Yoga's most popular event!
